How To Stencil:

1. Place your stencil down on the light table and put your paper or scrapbook page over it. You can tape it to your card with masking tape or removeable tape to hold it in place. To reduce the tackiness of the tape, stick it to your clothing first. Turn the card over on the light table.

2. Next rub a small piece of wax paper over the back of your card. This trick helps guide your stylus over the paper and helps anyone that may have arthritis in their hands.

3. Use the larger end of the stylus to trace the design. The small end is used for some of the detail. You can turn the light out to see how far the design is finished. You can also trace the outside of the stencil. This creates a frame and also helps in holding it in place when coloring it. Now flip it over so that the stencil is on the top of the embossed side.

4. Coloring is easy when using our non-smear acid free chalk. Just scratch the chalk with a small knife to get the powder It takes the coating off the chalk. Place your stencil brush in it using a few strokes back and forth. By holding the brush upright, color in a circular motion until all the chalk powder has disappeared. Then tap off the card to get the excess chalk off after removing your stencil. You can blend colors for shading and if you did get a little too much chalk on your card, you need to use less and can use our white stencil eraser in one direction to get it off before the chalk sets in the paper.

5. Emboss on a blank tag to put on your card, journal, memory album, scrapbook page or any keepsake.
